Encounter

These conferences have been designed so that students  can grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ by better knowing the Scriptures and the power of God.  Every event and activity (chapel services, workshops, games, and times of fellowship) have been intentionally fashioned to challenge, encourage, and transform.

Senior High Encounter (ages 15-19) is scheduled for March and Junior High Encounter (ages 12-15) in April. Please check the Eston College calendar for exact dates.

Upcoming Mini Semesters

All Mini Semester classes are being offered as a free audit until April 2019. Register with the button below.

Fall Semester 2018

November 5-9

PRM 101 - Applied Practical Ministry: Group Outreach

Applied Practical Ministry is designed to provide students with multiple opportunities to apply and practice ministry skills in private and in public. The main goal is to teach the relationship between private ministry habits and the success of public ministry. This course is highly participatory and contains very little class room time, but still requires the practice of academic skills like memorization, reading, and public speaking.

Taught by Laura Chalmers

PRM 250 - Understanding Yourself and Others

This course is designed to help a student to better understand self and others in such a way that the complexities and difficulties involved in  facilitating deep change would be appreciated.

Taught by Brian Heaney

BTH 360 - Hebrews

The Book of Hebrews contains some of the best-loved passages in the New Testament, as well as some of the most difficult.  It is both profoundly lofty, covering a range of theologically rich topics, and also profoundly practical, offering a pastoral response to the kinds of crises of faith that many Christians experience in their day-to-day spiritual lives.  This course will lead students through a verse-by-verse exploration of the Book of Hebrews, paying particular attention to both its significance for Christian theology and its implications for pastoral ministry.  As students interact with the text, they will discover the compelling vision of Christ that the author puts forward for his readers, and tackle some of the theologically challenging questions it raises for us.

Taught by Dale Harris

Affordable

Cost

Mini-semesters cost $199 per credit hour (each course is three credits, a total of $597), plus $25 application fee and $25 Populi fee (student information management program). When you attend a mini-semester you have the opportunity to stay in the on-campus residences and experience the college community. Room + all meals = $180 per week. If you have any questions please contact the Admissions Office at 1-888-440-3424 or registrar@estoncollege.ca.

Alumni and Pastoral Discounts

Eston College offers one mini-semester class without charge to existing pastoral staff who are recognized by a congregation. The offer applies to tuition but not room and board and is limited to the first mini-semester class taken by the applicant. Application fee, books and any other charges are the responsibility of the applicant. Alumni may audit one free class per year (mini-semester or regular semester). This is designed as an opportunity for our alumni to keep learning and growing in their faith! Room and board, application fee, books and any other charges are the responsibility of the applicant.
