Encounter

These conferences have been designed so that students  can grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ by better knowing the Scriptures and the power of God.  Every event and activity (chapel services, workshops, games, and times of fellowship) have been intentionally fashioned to challenge, encourage, and transform.

Senior High Encounter (ages 15-19) is scheduled for March and Junior High Encounter (ages 12-15) in April. Please check the Eston College calendar for exact dates.

Upcoming Mini Semesters

All Mini Semester classes are being offered as a free audit until April 2019. Register with the button below.

Fall Semester 2018

September 10-21

PRM 100 - Introduction to Christian Life

This course is designed to strengthen your life as a disciple of Christ. It gives attention to the student’s walk with the Lord and encourages a strong focus on spiritual growth. It is an experience intended to fortify the foundations of an ongoing, intimate, and faithful relationship with God that will undergird whatever vocational path students pursue. The content covers relevant topics such as our relationship with God, engaging with the Bible, prayer, discipleship, evangelism, service, the gifts of the Spirit, our world, relationships with others and spiritual warfare. Readings and assignments have been chosen to stimulate personal development rather than focusing on assimilating information.

Taught by Rev. Brian Fuller

PRM 230 - Leadership

Leadership introduces the student to the study and practice of leadership from a Christian perspective. Although the course does not focus on any one type of leadership, it will address leadership within a Christian/Biblical framework and examine many of the basic principles that will help ensure successful oversight. There will also be an emphasis on what it is to be a good follower. Each student will be given the opportunity to discover, evaluate, and practice different aspects of leadership.

Taught by Gary Stevenson

September 17-21

BTH 361 - James

The five chapters of James address issues that we struggle with today–so much so that it could have been written yesterday. It contains teaching on issues such as the use of words, money, prayer, wisdom, and the “law of liberty.” This rich lettter will be studied as it is written: highly practical.

Taught by Dr. John Loge
