Go, and be disciples. Go, and feed the hungry. Go, and show compassion. Go, to places you’ve never been. Go, and learn biblical truth. Go, out of your comfort zone. Go, and change your life. Go, and help change the lives of others. “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation”. (Mark 16:15)

Go Discipleship

GODiscipleship is a mentored, one-to-two year discipleship program balancing:

  • Christ-focused character transformation
  • practical ministry
  • biblical teaching

Students will take accredited courses on-site at the college and actively participate in a variety of ministries both locally and further afield in the region and outside the province – but our goal is much more! It is to see life-long habits of discipleship and faith established in lives, and that equals transformation. GODiscipleship  is practical learning from classroom to community.

The Leaders

The GODiscipleship program at Eston College will operate under the experienced leadership of Jeff and Brenda Frost. A fisher by trade, Jeff is originally from Grand Manan, New Brunswick where, as a young man, he began drinking and using drugs, and was in trouble with the law. Though his behaviour improved during his 20s, the substance abuse continued until Jeff gave his life and his addictions to Christ at age 35. Jeff enroled at Eston College in 1998, where he earned his Bachelor in Biblical Studies and met Brenda. Brenda (then Stevenson) grew up in Regina, and has her BA in Psychology from the U of R. She worked for nine summers in Calgary as counselor and Assistant Director of Project Moses, a day camp for disadvantaged youth. Brenda joined the staff of Eston College in 1995 as Dean of Students, and was later Registrar and Director of Admissions. While in Eston Brenda also earned her Bachelor in Biblical Studies and somehow found the time to meet and marry Jeff! After four years (’05-’09) at Bridges of Canada, a ministry to prisoners, ex-convicts and their families in New Brunswick, Jeff (now ordained with the ACOP) and Brenda are returning home to the prairies, and are eager to give direction to GODiscipleship.

GODiscipleship as a program is uniquely different from Eston College’s Certificate in Biblical Studies. In addition to a specifically designed teaching track, this exciting new program combines an added emphasis on spiritual formation and challenging hands-on ministry training. Students who complete this program will receive a distinct Eston College certificate. The GODiscipleship certificate is nonaccredited; however, courses completed within the GODiscipleship program may be transferred towards any of Eston College’s accredited programs if the student should so choose.
